Green avocados.
Buy them green. Here's the reasoning. If they're ripening in the store thousands of people are walking by squishing them hundreds of times. They're waiting for that perfect squeeze. The problem is when that time arrives the avocado is bruised from all that squishing.
The answer is to buy them hard and green take them home and let them ripen on the counter. Minimal bruising and you can squish them to your heart's content at your leisure.
If you must have avocado right now and want it perfect then buy a pre processed in a plastic package. It's way more expensive, but perfect.
